Programs
Overview
Since 2012, Monash SEED has offered a range of programs with the intention of equipping, educating and engaging students in meaningful dialogue about social impact, enterprise and entrepreneurship. Our innovative programs allow students to engage directly with social impact causes, whilst allowing them to develop their personal and professional skills.
Externship
A 12-week social impact centred consulting program, SEED's Externship program partners student consultants with social enterprises and allow students to impart tangible change within the social impact spheres, receive mentorship and support from industry professionals and mentors, and gain invaluable opportunities to network and grow your skills
Incubator
Our Incubator program connects socially-minded students with Melbourne's vibrant social enterprise sphere. Students participate in mentoring sessions conducted by industry professionals to learn, develop and enhance the skills required to create a thriving social enterprise. Using the skills acquired from the workshops, students will then work on building and launching a start-up with an opportunity to also pitch their business idea to a panel of professionals, industry guests and peers to gain valuable feedback of the start-up and network with those in the social impact space.
Global Think Tank
An evolution of SEED's previously run 'World Innovation Challenge', the Global Think Tank (GTT) connects students from around the world to solve social impact issues that are prevalent in each university's locality. Spanning across 7 days, students will be given 4 skill-building workshops to improve their competence in different aspects of entrepreneurship. These workshops will focus on business, social impact and entrepreneurship, and will be facilitated by experts from around the globe.
